Edwards Outdoor Advertising started out as Edwards Sign Company in 1964 in Southern California. Rod Edwards, a graduate of Los Angeles Trade Tech. College is the founder of the company. It has continued as a family business with Rod's son Eddy. Eddy attended the United States Air Force Academy and then went on to graduate from UCLA. Rose, Rod's eldest daughter runs the Michigan office. Rose is finishing her degree in Graphic Design at the Suomi International School of Art & Design. Ronald, Rod's grandson is also working in the business while attending college in Southern California. They are helped in running the business by Nancy, Mark, Julie, Tony and assorted cousins. The company grew to include a silk screen printing plant, and than in 1978 it added billboards and changed its name to Edwards Outdoor Advertising. In 1985 Edwards Outdoor expanded to Upper Michigan and Wisconsin to continue the tradition of high quality and service in the sign industry. In the early 1990's we changed the name of the office in California to Edwards Outdoor Signs. The Office in Michigan remains Edwards Outdoor Advertising. We also added all aspects of visual communication, from advertising layouts, business logo design to web page design. We now even offer a web page hosting service to meet the needs of our clients. In the late 1990's Edwards Outdoor Advertising in Michigan changed its name to Edwards Media. This represents the diversity of its offerings to clients. Edwards Media also in the late 1990's started its own web site at http://www.edwardsmedia.net. In 2004 we changed the name of the office in California back to Edwards Outdoor Advertising, Inc. for tax purposes. |
