"My forefathers didn't come over on the Mayflower, but they met the boat."

- Will Rogers

This is a photo of my Great Great Grandmother Mollie (Wells) Lacy (in the black dress), along with my Great Grandmother Julia Lee (Lacy) Edwards (sitting on the porch railing), My Grandmother Eloise Edwards (being held in her nanny's lap), seated next to Mollie is her grandaughter Ethel Marie Chatwin, next to her is her daughter Iline Garnell (Lacy) Chatwin, next is her son Wells George (Buddy) Lacy and than Katie Lacy. Seated below Mollie is her son Cleveland Lacy. This photo was taken circa 1902 in Ketchi, Louisiana on the family plantation. Family tradition says that the nanny holding Eloise has been with the Lacy Family since she was a slave and elected to stay with the family.
